Lossiemouth earned a second point of the season with a draw at home to Fraserburgh. Errol Watsons first half penalty save knocked the wind out of the visitors sails, and Scott Miller opened the scoring in the second half before Graham Johnston levelled for the Broch, denying Lossie all three points.

Lossie started with last weeks goalscorer Willie Mathers on the field, while Liam Archibald looked on from the bench and Kevin Grant was missing. The Broch went into the game on the back of a 4-1 defeat at home to Brora Rangers, winning their fifth game out of five in the league this season.

The Broch had the better of the opening exchanges, with a stiff wind influencing play. Both sides had chances but the visitors certainly looked the more likely to score in the opening period.

Lossie were close to going behind when Bruce found himself in possession and unmarked on the edge of the penalty area. Given the eyes by Watson, Bruce played the ball across the face of goal knowing the merest touch would send it over the line, but his side were denied by a fine sliding clearance by Callum Dunbar, who sent the ball high over the bar.

The lively figure of Bruce was influential once more and a foul on the former Huntly man in the area saw Fraserburgh awarded a penalty. Grant Noble stepped up and attempted to place the ball in the corner, but Errol Watson guessed correctly and palmed the ball round the post for a corner.

Half time – Lossiemouth 0-0 Fraserburgh

Lossie took the lead a few minutes after the restart. A foul on Ricky Wardrop on the edge of the area offered Callum Dunbar the chance to strike at goal, but the on loan youngster drilled a low free kick into the box, and Scott MILLER was on hand at the back post to prod the ball beyond Leask.

The second half was quieter in terms of genuine chances created than the first, with Lossie keeping Fraserburgh at arms length. Most of the action following the Lossie goal came from corners created by the hosts, ensuring Paul Leask had plenty to do.

Fraserburgh carved out an equaliser with fifteen minutes left. Scott Fowlie set up Graham JOHNSTON for a finish inside the six yard area that left penalty hero Watson with no chance.

The game petered out with little in the way of incident following the leveller, and while the Broch will be disappointed to have left with only a point following their first half dominance, the result ends a run of three straight defeats. Lossie picked up another point, and a second which was missed out on last season, moving the Coasters into 16th place ahead of the upcoming trip to Brora Rangers.
